Two megapixels. One soft lens.
Every shot is developed like a frame from the first camera phones: a 2 MP fixed-focus lens with 37 mm framing, soft corners and a light grain. Highlights clip to white and shadows fall to black, and each frame is metered on its own, the way that little camera did it.
Slate blades close and open on every shot, with a short click. Your photo appears as they part.
The preview runs at about 20 frames a second. Pan quickly and the picture wobbles, light changes settle slowly, and moving things leave a little smear on the screen.
Your shots line up in a grid. Tap one to swipe through the rest, or delete it and watch it slip into the trash can.
The volume buttons and Camera Control take a photo. Camera Control also opens Camera ’07, even from the Lock Screen.
Turn the camera around for a self-portrait. Photos are mirrored like the preview, or turn off Mirror Front Camera in Settings.
Open it and the album sits beside the camera, so each photo slides straight into the grid.
